Olivia Lau NP

Olivia Lau happily joined Needham Wellesley Family Medicine in 2014 after working for many years as a nurse in both the hospital and outpatient settings. She is a Board-Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner who became a clinician in 2007 and has a background in women’s health and primary care medicine.

She completed her undergraduate degree in immunology and microbiology at McGill University in 2000 and went on to achieve her master’s in nursing at Northeastern University in 2007. While at Northeastern, Olivia participated in research projects and helped to develop a mobile health delivery system intended to provide outreach to underserved populations in the Greater Boston community. Additionally, she has experience teaching nursing coursework at the university and has taught nurse practitioner students in the primary care setting.  Olivia is an active member of the Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Her clinical interests include women’s health, preventive and lifestyle medicine, as well as chronic disease management.

Olivia is from the Boston area.  She lives with her husband and two young children. In her spare moments, she enjoys running, swimming, and cooking.
